In the midst of an energy crisis, a climatic emergency, international geopolitical instability and excessive building regulations, the urban department of the Municipality of Florence launches a variation to the current planning instrument. The goal is to promote the use of renewable energy, eliminating (or at least reducing) the restrictions concerning the installation of solar photovoltaic and solar thermal panels.
